In the beginning...

We are John, Elaine, & Jaime (10) from Sydney's northern beaches. John has worked in construction for the last 30 years and is currently employed as a construction manager in a large national construction company. Elaine works in payroll and accounts payable for a northern beaches company. Jaime is currently in year 4 in a Catholic school on the northern beaches.

We have been planning this trip for a long time now. Although we have spoken about doing a trip like this for a number of years, it really came to the front of our minds when covid -19 gripped the world in March 2020. When covid hit we were living in our newly completed house in Dee Why. A beautiful home which we loved but it came with a hefty mortgage which we were keen to get rid of at least for now. With the covid lockdowns and the ban on international travel, we decided to sell our house and travel around Australia. We felt that this was our time as Jaime was a perfect age and we really needed a break from the pressures of life in Sydney. This is the start of our story....…..

Every great road trip needs a great tow vehicle and caravan and we were lucky in a pandemic to get the #landcruiser200 and #UrbanCaravan as a package deal.
